There are couples who instantly make you feel at ease, who bring both the spark and the softness. For Angelina and Reid, it’s that perfect balance. Angelina holds a fierce, big-hearted presence, the kind that looks out for everyone around her like a protective mama bear. And Reid? Reid is the calm to her storm, a golden-retriever-souled kind of human who carries a gentle energy that wraps you in warmth. Their dynamic together is magnetic and nurturing, and planning alongside them felt like helping two soulmates build something deeply, joyfully their own.

High school sweethearts turned lifelong partners, they’ve been inseparable since the day they met, and their wedding day at the Desert Botanical Garden was the kind of calm, connected, joy-filled celebration that truly reflected the life they’ve built together. The whole day radiated peace, intentionality, and playfulness, set against the wild natural beauty of Arizona’s desert botanical landscape and softened by whimsical pastel touches that danced in the golden light.

The couple’s ceremony took place in the Dorrance Center patio, a beautiful open-air courtyard strung with bistro lights that cast the softest glow as the sun dipped behind the desert botanical landscape. Their ceremony was a heartfelt nod to both Angelina and Reid’s cultures and families, honoring Jewish and Muslim traditions with grace and warmth. The centerpiece of their ceremony space was a breathtaking chuppah lovingly designed by Amber Lynn of Snapdragon Bloom Bar. A white chiffon cloth draped effortlessly across the front while soft floral installations cascaded above Angelina’s head, catching the light in the most delicate way.
Reid’s father had the honor of officiating, and Angelina’s youngest brother stole everyone’s hearts as the ring bearer. He did an incredible job and made his family so proud. One of the most touching moments came when Reid stepped forward to break the ceremonial glass, a Jewish tradition that symbolizes the fragility of life and the commitment of marriage. Afterward, they shared they were turning the shards into a mezuzah, a traditional Jewish keepsake placed on the doorpost of a home to offer protection and blessing. It was a beautiful way to carry a piece of their wedding day forward into married life.
The vibe of the ceremony was exactly what we hoped for. A whimsical garden party filled with lush greenery, layered pastels, and emotional storytelling from start to finish. Guests stayed cool and comfortable thanks to program fans waiting at each seat during the sun-drenched ceremony.

Let’s talk about the florals because they were truly next level. More than 75 percent of the blooms on the wedding day came directly from Snapdragon Bloom Bar’s home garden. The result? Completely organic, textural, and joy-filled arrangements that looked like they had bloomed right out of the garden itself.

Amber Lynn’s artistry showed up in every corner, from the floral-draped chuppah to the delicate aisle markers that lined each ceremony chair, to the magical cocktail hour touch: a grounded water fountain feature that looked like it was naturally blooming from within, thanks to carefully placed floating florals. Guests found their names on a handmade paper seating chart display set on a mirror, hand-painted with custom floral details by Reid’s sister, who also stood as a bridesmaid. It was thoughtful, personal, and completely aligned with the look and feel of the day.

Cocktail tables were topped with elegant gold crystal lamps and bud vases. The bar front featured a garden-grown statement floral arrangement, again all Snapdragon-grown.
Angelina’s look was an editorial dream. She wore an off-the-shoulder A-line gown from Luv Bridal, designed by Evie Young, with a romantic silhouette that floated as she walked. Her hair and makeup team, Jules Artiste and Holly, created a gorgeous half-up, half-down style paired with a diamond crown and a pearl-beaded veil. But we can’t move on without mentioning the shoes. Ivory slingback Louboutins. Elegant. Statement-making. So her.

Reid wore a slate gray tux from Nick’s Menswear, complete with a colorful tie that added personality and joy to his look. A custom embroidery of their wedding date inside his collar gave it a sentimental finish.

One of the most thoughtful touches of the day came from Angelina herself. She gifted both her dad and Reid’s dad a Gucci tie, each adorned with a childhood photo from when they were little with their fathers. A moment of love and legacy stitched right into the fabric of the day. Lastly, a gift for reid, an embroidered handkerchief with sweet words from Angelina’s heart.

From the first steps into the reception space, guests were met with vibrant energy. The reception was held back at the Dorrance Center patio, reimagined with tables flanking a central dance floor. Guest rounds were styled with bud vases, lilac napkins, and gold beaded chargers. Cookie place cards by Michelle’s Cookie Jar, each with dainty floral designs, doubled as edible art, the kind of little detail that makes guests feel cared for.

To kick off the celebration, a zaffe group made a powerful entrance to welcome Angelina and Reid. Dancers, drummers, and traditional Arabic music filled the space as guests cheered and clapped, the couple surrounded by vibrant wings and movement. It was joyful, energetic, and magnetic.

During this time, they transitioned seamlessly into a blend of Arabic and Jewish musical traditions, culminating in a lively hora where Angelina and Reid were lifted high above the crowd in chairs.

After guests had a chance to settle into the evening, the zaffe group returned once more to hype up the dance floor. It was a beautiful cultural fusion and a true highlight of the night — one that honored both of their backgrounds and brought everyone together in celebration.

The food by Creations in Cuisine brought people together, while dessert, a three tier wedding cake by Artful Sweets AZ with fondant pastel florals on a 360 degree designed vile floral cake stand, and mini cannoli and tiramisu from The Sicilian Butcher, was a sweet finale.

But one of the most touching moments of the evening came from Reid’s father, Brian, who shared in his toast:
“My toast is a wish for you, to make your own golden path together in life. A golden path free from the expectations and judgment of others. Because your path is your unique piece of art. You get to paint a beautiful picture that represents who you are together — your values, your ambitions, and your dreams. While others may question your choice of brushes or paints, know that I will support you. Because you are two incredible people, kind, smart, fun and very loving. I’m so proud of who you are as individuals, and the beautiful combination you make as a couple.”
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Angelina and Reid’s priority from the beginning was clear. They wanted to be present, to enjoy every moment, and to trust their day would unfold just as it should. They didn’t cross paths before the ceremony and focused on soaking it all in rather than worrying if every task was being checked off. That kind of trust makes all the difference.

One of the sweetest behind-the-scenes moments came from Reid. He sent a floral arrangement and a handwritten note to Angelina the morning of the wedding, along with a YouTube link that played a montage of memories from their relationship over the years. Cue all the tears.
As a planner, I connect with all my couples, but Angelina and Reid felt different from the very beginning. There was a genuine friendship that formed between us, something Angelina was intentional about from day one. She wanted to work with people she could truly confide in, and I think that kind of relationship is what makes weddings not only beautiful but deeply felt.
To Angelina and Reid, thank you for trusting me with your vision, for blending tradition and joy with so much grace, and for reminding me how powerful it is to create a day that simply feels like you.
