Some wedding days just glow. Not just from the golden Arizona light or the reflection off perfectly polished glassware, but from the energy between two people who have built a decade-long love story and are finally stepping into forever. Faith and Carsten brought that glow and then some to their lush pastel garden-inspired celebration at Desert View Weddings, and every moment was an intentional joyful reflection of their journey together.
Let’s start with them. Because Faith and Carsten are the kind of couple that makes you believe in meant-to-be. Bubbly, warm, full of life—they’re the people who walk into a room and instantly make everyone feel like family. Their connection is undeniable, and if you know them, you know that laughter is woven into the very fabric of their love.
Originally from Illinois, Faith and Carsten’s relationship grew up with them. From young love to grown-up milestones, they moved to Arizona to chase their careers and a new adventure together. After nine years of dating, Carsten chose the most poetic full-circle moment to propose during a venue site visit at Desert View Weddings, the very place where they’d soon say “I do.” Right before their 10th anniversary, he dropped to one knee, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The ceremony was held in Desert View’s chapel, a light-filled space with wooden crossback chairs and grand doors that opened right to the Superstition Mountains. The setting was serene, spiritual, and absolutely stunning. The Superstitions offered a majestic backdrop, and with the doors wide open behind the altar, it felt like the mountains were witnessing every vow.

Cocktail hour took place just steps away on the manicured lawn nestled between the chapel and the event center. Guests mingled under string lights and sipped drinks while the Superstition Mountains turned gold behind them. As the sun dipped lower, the glow only intensified.

Dinner was held inside the event center, which features floor-to-ceiling windows that kept that breathtaking view front and center. Every space flowed together but with its own distinct vibe curated with care and full of intention.
Faith and Carsten’s vision was pure desert garden whimsy. Think pastel romance meets lush garden party. Every corner was thoughtfully designed to reflect their personalities elevated, soft, and vibrant all at once.
The ceremony aisle was marked with pastel floral arrangements at each row leading up to a semi-circle altar installation that looked like it bloomed from the ground up. Elegant yet approachable, it perfectly framed their “I dos.”

For cocktail hour, a white vinyl bar with blue and white detailing set the tone flanked by white umbrellas edged with black trim. Lounge areas were styled with bold patterned pillows that popped against the pastel palette, and every seating nook felt like a styled vignette out of a magazine.

A margarita tower and cake display stood tall on white chiffon draped pedestals while cocktail tables wore green and white floral linens that felt fresh and inviting.

Inside the reception space, the design truly wowed. An elongated king’s table layout formed a square that framed the room with intimacy and elegance. The tables were layered with tapered candles, bud vases, and ikebana-style centerpieces, effortlessly romantic. The sweetheart table stood out with soft chiffon draping offering a quiet moment of luxury for the newlyweds.
We’re still dreaming about the pastel florals, vintage lounge rentals, disco ball accents, and charming details like the linen bar signage. Every element sang in harmony.
Let’s talk fashion because wow.

Faith wore a stunning Madi Lane gown from Luv Bridal featuring a basque waist and a soft floral print that felt tailor-made for her. Her Hollywood waves and soft glam by Ideal Bride AZ completed the look timeless with a touch of modern romance.

Carsten looked sharp in a tan suit from Generation Tux styled with a floral print tie and a brooch in place of a boutonniere. It was fresh, fun, and fashion-forward in the best way.

The bridesmaids wore mix and match pastel and patterned dresses which photographed beautifully against the desert tones. The groomsmen matched Carsten in tan suits and individual brooches, a sweet nod to floral styling without being traditional.
This day had heart and moments that we’ll never forget.

Faith and Carsten chose to do a first look and it’s a moment that brought literal tears to my eyes. I’ve seen a lot of first looks but this one The emotion was raw, deep, and filled the whole space. Watching from inside the event center, Faith’s bridesmaids wiped away tears as they looked out at the couple, proof of just how powerful love can be when it’s real and time-tested.

The ceremony was sweet and spiritual with a major surprise. Charlie, their beloved dog, made a surprise entrance to “Pretty Little Baby” and sat calmly watching as her humans tied the knot. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
As the sun dipped behind the western horizon, the celebration shifted into full swing. The reception was full of intentional touches. A margarita tower. A roaming cannoli vendor, Cannolis by Mike. A cozy coffee and tea cart from Brew Avenue. The kind of magic that makes a wedding feel like a weekend getaway not just a single evening.
An event like this takes a dream team and we had just that. Photography by the ever-talented Brittany Nemec Photography with video captured by the stellar associate team at Hustis Film Co. Cannolis by Mike brought both the flavor and the fun with his strolling cannoli station. Brew Avenue delivered cozy vibes and custom drinks all night long. And of course, an incredible team of florists, rental providers, glam squad pros, and behind-the-scenes magic makers made the day seamless.
There were tears. There was joy. There were surprises that no one will forget.
One of the most touching elements was a reserved ceremony chair on the bride’s side featuring a linen sign in honor of loved ones who couldn’t attend. It was a quiet yet powerful nod to family and memory.

And then there were the laughs, the genuine soul-filling kind. From Charlie’s surprise entrance to the spontaneous dance floor moments under the string lights, everything felt like pure magic.
