Hey lovebirds,
We’re back!! Did you miss us? Wedding season is in full swing, but we could not resist giving you the insider look on what’s HOT and what’s to come over the next few months.
Weddings we have seen in 2025 are bold, high-fashion, and deeply personal. Couples are making intentional choices that feel meaningful and immersive, creating celebrations that stand out from the traditional mold. From statement colors to couture-inspired gowns and elevated guest experiences, this year is all about stepping outside the expected.
If you’re planning your wedding and want to stay ahead of the trends, here’s what’s defining weddings right now—plus a few predictions for what’s next.
Floral design has taken a turn toward the organic and overgrown. Structured arrangements are being replaced with sprawling greenery, wild textures, and florals that feel as if they’ve grown naturally into the space. Couples are embracing moss-covered tables, asymmetrical bouquets, and unexpected blooms like hellebores, anthuriums, and sweet peas. There’s a softness and movement to wedding flowers now, making every design feel artful and effortless.
Color is also making a dramatic comeback, with red leading the way. Brides are walking down the aisle in red satin heels, rocking deep crimson lips, and even changing into bold red reception dresses. Reception tables are set with scarlet taper candles and ruby glassware, while floral arrangements lean into rich, moody tones. This shift away from neutrals signals a new era of bold, personality-driven weddings. Looking ahead, expect even more unexpected color pairings like blue and burnt orange, emerald and fuchsia, or lilac and gold.
Draped fabrics are transforming wedding spaces, adding a soft, romantic texture to ceremonies and receptions. Sheer, billowing textiles are being used to frame aisles, divide large venues into intimate sections, and create movement in tented weddings. This ethereal look is warm, inviting, and completely dreamy. By late 2025, we’ll likely see ceiling installations mixing florals and drapery, creating a layered, immersive effect overhead.
Fashion is taking a regal turn, with brides embracing structured, couture-inspired silhouettes. Basque waists and drop-waist gowns are making a strong comeback, elongating the torso and adding a statuesque effect. It’s a shift away from minimalist, figure-hugging designs in favor of something more dramatic and editorial. Looking ahead, the return of the super-long train is on the horizon, with modern updates like sheer fabrics, hand-stitched embroidery, and detachable elements.
The champagne tower is out, and cocktail towers are in. Instead of pouring bubbly, couples are stacking glasses filled with espresso martinis, classic dirty martinis, and signature cocktails that match their wedding aesthetic. It’s a fresh, playful twist on a classic moment. Next up? Tableside cocktail service, where mixologists craft custom drinks for guests right at their tables.
After-parties are becoming just as important as the reception. Instead of heading to a bar, couples are curating exclusive, high-energy after-parties with private DJs, nightclub-style venues, and gourmet late-night snacks like truffle grilled cheese or custom ice cream sandwiches. The goal? Keep the energy high and the celebration going well into the night.
With venues booking out years in advance, weekday weddings are on the rise. More couples are embracing Thursday weddings, turning them into multi-day celebrations that roll into the weekend. It’s a win-win: better vendor availability and a more relaxed, stretched-out experience for guests.
We are continuing to see weddings becoming immersive, multi-day retreats. Instead of a single-day event, couples are curating full wedding weekends with private chef dinners, sunset boat cruises, and wellness activities like yoga or sound baths. Weddings are evolving into luxury getaways, giving guests an experience they won’t forget.
2025 weddings are statement-making, immersive, and highly personalized. Couples are moving away from tradition for tradition’s sake and instead designing weddings that reflect their own unique style. From bold color choices to couture gowns, high-energy after-parties, and full-scale wedding getaways, the future of weddings is all about creating unforgettable experiences.
